1. Applications for the RP-T post-10-years can only be done through online submission via the RP-T website.

Answer: Existing RP-T holders with 10 years approval which will be approaching the end of their 10 years may submit a new application for a new 10 year approval. The RP-T holder will need to e-mail to RPTCare@myxpats.com.my to update their information in the system. Once updated, the RP T holder may log in to their existing RP-T account and submit an application under “MY POST-10-YEARS APPLICATION”.

2.What is the difference between the new RP-T application with the post 10-years application?

Answer: The approval for RP-T is valid for 10 years (endorsement for 5+5 years). Therefore, in order to remain in Malaysia, the RP-T holder needs to submit an application under the RP-T post-10-years application, for further consideration.

3.Do RP-T holders applying for the RP-T post-10-years application also need to
meet the eligibility criteria?

Answer: Yes, they are required to meet all the current eligibility criteria (the criteria remain unchanged except that the applicant is holding a valid RP-T instead of a valid Employment Pass during the application). The decision will be subject to the discretion of the RP-T panel.
