Launched in April 2011 through a strategic collaboration between the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM), and TalentCorp, the Residence Pass–Talent (RP-T) offers a 10-year renewable pass for highly skilled expatriates who wish to build a long-term career and life in Malaysia while contributing meaningfully to the nation’s economic growth.

The RP-T is under the purview of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), an agency under the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR) that works to attract, nurture, and retain the right talent and expertise to support Malaysia’s journey towards greater economic progress.

This long-term pass is designed for highly skilled expatriates who are making a positive impact in key sectors such as Technology & Digital, Professional Services, Energy & Natural Resources, Manufacturing & Industrial—and many more.
